I get asked this all the time “What does a Virtual Assistant do?”. And it is difficult to quantify. Because it depends on a number of things. Who the VA works for, what do they niche in, are they a tech VA, or a generalist?
So, I have made a list and this is by no means exhaustive. All VA’s offer something different depending on who they support. Here are a few ways that I support my clients and that you could outsource to a Virtual Assistant:
- Email Management
- Booking appointments with clients
- Following up with clients/customers
- Calendar Management
- Research on certain topics for i.e. blogposts and newsletters
- Email marketing
- Preparing Slideshows (PowerPoint Presentations)
- Website management
- Creating marketing material
- Travel arrangements
- Running online courses and supporting webinars
- Event coordination and organisation
- Project coordination and management
- Transcription (transcribing voicemail, video or audio, podcasts etc.)
- Creating basic reports (reports on weekly tasks, deliverables, sales)
- Liaison between you and other team members
- Set-up Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Manage and update Social Media Accounts
- Manage and publish posts on your Blog, filter and reply to comments on your blog
- Lifestyle management
- Typing up notes
- File Management (organizing files using Dropbox etc.)
- Database building (e.g. updating email or contact lists on your CRM)
- Website design
- Survey design
To name but a few!!!
